Cheppy is about 33 kilometers west-northwest of Verdun . Cheppy is surrounded by the neighboring communities Charpentry in the north and northwest, Véry in the north and east, Avocourt in the southeast, Vauquois in the south, Boureuilles in the southwest and Varennes-en-Argonne in the west.
