Charny-sur-Meuse is a French commune with 518 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement Verdun and the canton Belleville-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton Charny-sur-Meuse ).

geography

Charny-sur-Meuse is about five kilometers north-north-west of Verdun . The Meuse (French: Meuse) limits the municipality in the east. Charny-sur-Meuse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vacherauville in the north, Bras-sur-Meuse in the east, Belleville-sur-Meuse in the southeast, Thierville-sur-Meuse in the south and Marre in the west.
