Les Monthairons is about twelve kilometers south of the city center of Verdun on the Meuse (French: Meuse ). Les Monthairons is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ancemont in the north, Dieue-sur-Meuse in the north-east, Génicourt-sur-Meuse in the east, Villers-sur-Meuse in the south, Récourt-le-Creux in the south and south-west and Souilly in the west and south-west .
