geography

The municipality of Moulotte is located on the Longeau , a tributary of the Orne between the city of Verdun, around 25 kilometers away, in the west and the city of Metz, around 35 kilometers away, in the east. The north-eastern municipal boundary also forms the border with the Meurthe-et-Moselle department .

Neighboring municipalities of Moulotte are Villers-sous-Pareid in the north, Allamont in the northeast, Labeuville in the east and southeast and Harville in the southwest and west.
