Damloup is a French commune with 131 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Belleville-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton of Étain ).
During the First World War , the community was completely destroyed during the Battle of Verdun in 1916.
geography
Damloup is about eight kilometers east-northeast of Verdun . Damloup is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vaux-devant-Damloup in the north and west, Dieppe-sous-Douaumont in the north and north-east, Abaucourt-Hautecourt in the east and south-east, Eix in the south and Fleury-devant-Douaumont in the west and south-west.
