Eix is a French commune with 249 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Belleville-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton of Étain ).
geography
Eix is about eight kilometers east-northeast of Verdun . Eix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fleury-devant-Douaumont in the north and north-west, Damloup in the north, Abaucourt-Hautecourt in the east and north-east, Moranville in the east and south-east, Molainville in the south and Verdun in the west and south-west.
