Foameix-Ornel is a French commune with 247 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Bouligny (until 2015: canton of Étain ).
Foameix-Ornel is located on the Upper Orne , about 18 kilometers northeast of Verdun . The municipality was created on January 1, 1973 by amalgamating the municipalities of Foameix and Ornel.
