Béthelainville is a French commune with 171 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and the canton of Clermont-en-Argonne (until 2015: canton Charny-sur-Meuse ).

Béthelainville is about eleven kilometers west-northwest of Verdun . Béthelainville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montzéville in the north, Fromeréville-les-Vallons in the east, Sivry-la-Perche in the south, Dombasle-en-Argonne in the south and south-west and Récicourt in the west and south-west.
