Écouviez is a French commune with 510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and is part of the canton of Montmédy . The inhabitants are called Écouvissois .
geography
Écouviez is about 50 kilometers north of Verdun on the border with Belgium . Écouviez is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rouvroy in the north, south and east, Velosnes in the south and Verneuil-Grand in the west.
