Thonne-la-Long is a French commune with 333 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Verdun and is part of the canton of Montmédy . The inhabitants are called the hourlons .
geography
Thonne-la-Long is about 55 kilometers north of Verdun on the border with Belgium and the Thonne . Thonne-la-Long is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Breux in the north and north-west, Meix-devant-Virton (Belgium) in the north and north-east, Rouvroy (Belgium) in the east and south-east, Verneuil-Grand and Verneuil-Petit in the south, Montmédy in the Southwest and Avioth in the west.
