The Route nationale 60 (RN 60) is a 14 km long, paved national road in Madagascar . It connects the RN 7 with the RN 2 and thereby forms the southeastern bypass the urban area of Antananarivo . The street was built in 2006 with Japanese development aid and is named Boulevard de Tokyo . It has a lane and a hard shoulder in each direction as well as turning lanes at intersections and is therefore very well developed for the local conditions. This can lead drivers to excessive speed, which often leads to fatal accidents and earned the street the nickname La route de la mort ( German The Death Road ).
