The Route nationale 5a (RN 5a) is a 414 km long national road in the Diana and Sava regions in northern Madagascar. It branches off from the RN 6 in Ambilobe and leads first in an easterly direction to Maromokotra and then in a south-easterly direction to Androrona (junction of the RN 59a to Vohémar ). It then heads south along the northeast coast via Sambava (junction of the RN 3b to Andapa ) to Antalaha (junction of the RN 53 ). The last section leads in a south-westerly direction via Maromandia to Marofinaritra .
