The Route nationale 2 (RN 2) is a 367 km long national road in Madagascar . It runs from the capital Antananarivo in the center of the country via Moramanga , Beforona and Antsampanana to Toamasina , the most important trading port on the east coast.

The RN 2 is paved and was generally in good condition until 2009. Since the coup in 2009 , the road fell into disrepair due to a lack of maintenance and repair work.
