Chevagnes is located about 17 kilometers east-northeast of Moulins in the Sologne Bourbonnaise landscape . Chevagnes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chapelle-aux-Chasses in the north, Paray-le-Frésil in the north and northeast, Beaulon in the east, Thiel-sur-Acolin in the south, Lusigny in the southwest and Chézy in the west and northwest.
