Saulcet is a French municipality with 693 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Moulins and the canton of Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule .

Saulcet is located about 28 kilometers south-southwest of Moulins . Saulcet is surrounded by the neighboring communities Verneuil-en-Bourbonnais in the north and north-west, Contigny in the north-east, Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule in the south and east, Louchy-Montfand in the south and south-west and Bransat in the west.
