Chézy is a French municipality with 243 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Moulins and the canton of Dompierre-sur-Besbre (until 2015: canton of Chevagnes ).

Chézy is located about eleven kilometers east-northeast of Moulins on the ozone in the Sologne Bourbonnaise landscape . Chézy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gennetines in the north and west, Lucenay-lès-Aix in the north and north-east, La Chapelle-aux-Chasses in the north-east, Chevagnes in the east, Lusigny in the south and Yzeure in the west and south-west.
