Rocles is a French municipality with 380 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the canton of Souvigny (until 2015: canton of Le Montet ) and the arrondissement of Moulins .

geography

Rocles is located in the north of the Auvergne in the historic province of Bourbonnais , about 30 kilometers southwest of the city center of Moulins and about 45 kilometers north-northwest of Vichy . Rocles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Hilaire in the north, Gipcy in the northeast, Tronget in the east, Le Montet in the south, Saint-Sornin in the south and southwest and Buxières-les-Mines in the west.
