Neure is a French municipality with 188 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Moulins and the canton of Bourbon-l'Archambault (until 2015 Lurcy-Lévis ).

Neure is about 31 kilometers northwest of Moulins . Neure is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Château-sur-Allier in the north and northeast, Le Veurdre in the east, Pouzy-Mésangy in the south and southeast and Lurcy-Lévis in the west.
