Cesset is a French municipality with 416 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the canton of Souvigny and the Arrondissement of Moulins .

geography

Cesset is located in the north of the Auvergne in the historic Bourbonnais province , about 31 kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Moulins and about 24 kilometers northwest of Vichy . Cesset is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bransat in the north, Louchy-Montfand in the northeast, Montord in the east, Chareil-Cintrat in the southeast, Fleuriel in the south and west and Laféline in the northwest.
