Saligny-sur-Roudon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Diou in the north, Pierrefitte-sur-Loire in the north-east, Coulanges in the east, Monétay-sur-Loire in the south-east, Liernolles in the south, Saint-Léon in the south-west, Vaumas in the west and south-west as well Saint-Pourçain-sur-Besbre to the west and north-west.
