Montord is about 38 kilometers south-southwest of Moulins and 25 kilometers northwest of Vichy . Montord is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Louchy-Montfand in the north, Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule in the east, Chareil-Cintrat in the south and Cesset in the west.
