Tronget is a French municipality with 897 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the canton of Souvigny (until 2015 Le Montet ) and the arrondissement of Moulins .

geography

Tronget is located in the north of the Auvergne in the historic Bourbonnais province about 23 kilometers southwest of the city center of Moulins . Tronget is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gipcy in the north, Noyant-d'Allier and Châtillon in the north and northeast, Cressanges in the east, Treban in the southeast, Le Theil in the south, Deux-Chaises in the south and southwest, Le Montet in the southwest and Rocles in the West and northwest.
