Coulanges is a French municipality with 354 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Moulins and the canton of Dompierre-sur-Besbre . The inhabitants are called Coulangeois .

geography

Coulanges is about 53 kilometers northeast of Vichy and about 50 kilometers east-southeast of Moulins . The Loire limits the municipality to the north. Coulanges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Agnan in the north, Molinet in the east, Le Pin in the south and south-east, Monétay-sur-Loire in the south and south-west, Saligny-sur-Roudon in the west and Pierrefitte-sur-Loire in the west and north-west .

The canal latéral à la Loire and Route nationale 79 run through the commune .
