Le Pin is about 55 kilometers east-southeast of Moulins on the edge of the Bourbonnais countryside . Le Pin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coulanges in the north, Molinet in the northeast, Saint-Léger-sur-Vouzance in the east and southeast, Saint-Didier-en-Donjon in the south and southwest and Monétay-sur-Loire in the west.
