Ferrières-sur-Sichon is a French commune with 552 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Allier department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Lapalisse . The inhabitants are called Farrérauds .
geography
The municipality is located around 20 kilometers southeast of Vichy and 30 kilometers west of Roanne on the border with the Puy-de-Dôme department . The place itself is on the right bank of the Sichon River . Neighboring municipalities are Le Mayet-de-Montagne in the north, Saint-Clément in the northeast, La Chabanne in the east, Laprugne in the southeast, Lavoine in the south, La Guillermie in the southwest, Lachaux in the west and Arronnes in the northwest.
The hamlet of Glozel belongs to the community .
