The small town of Gannat is located on the Andelot River in the Limagne Bourbonnaise countryside , about 20 kilometers west of Vichy . The municipality of Gannat borders the Puy-de-Dôme department to the south and west .

history

Excavations are currently taking place in Gannat, which prove the prehistoric and early historical settlement of the place. In Roman times, Gannat became the transport hub between Vichy , Clermont-Ferrand and Chantelle .
