Valignat is a central French town and municipality ( commune ) with 77 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Allier department in the north of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Gannat (until 2015 Ébreuil ).

location

Valignat is located in the Bourbonnais landscape about 44 kilometers west-northwest of Vichy . Valignat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bellenaves in the north and east, Naves in the east and south-east, Vicq and Sussat in the south and Veauce in the west and south-west.
