Nizerolles is a French municipality with 314 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Lapalisse .
geography
The municipality is located in the Montagne Bourbonnaise region , around 20 kilometers east of Vichy . Neighboring municipalities to Nizerolles are:
- Isserpent in the north,
- Châtel-Montagne in the east,
- Le Mayet-de-Montagne in the south,
- La Chapelle to the west and
- Molles in the northwest.
The river Jolan runs along the western border of the municipality and the Besbre runs along the eastern border . The departmental road D7 - coming from Le Mayet-de-Montagne - runs through the middle of the municipality on a ridge that forms the watershed between the Jolan and Besbre rivers. The place Nizerolles itself is about five kilometers northwest of Le Mayet-de-Montagne , in the Jolan Valley, at the confluence of its right tributary Ruisseau des Mits .

economy
The municipality's economy is predominantly agricultural , but Nizerolles is also the seat of the Nizerolles Systèmes Électroniques (NSE) group, which was founded in 1983 by François Lacoste. The NSE group, which employs 700 people (240 of them abroad), is mainly involved in the development of electronic and mechanical components for the aerospace and defense sectors . Outside of Nizerolles, there are branches in Abrest , Riom and Clermont-Ferrand , as well as in Hungary , Morocco , Canada and Brazil .
