As military technology (including military technology , military technology or defense technology ) refers to the technical construction of military armaments .

Also referred to as military or military technology, one understands various engineering , the military development and use of technology from the civil sector (eg. Flight - and tracked vehicles ) or special developments, particularly of weapons , has to content. Many civilly used technologies come from military technology (e.g. radar and GPS ).

Some German companies avoid the military-sounding terms for image reasons and refer to the corresponding branches of their operations as special technology .
