As military technology (including military technology , military technology or defense technology ) refers to the technical construction of military armaments .


Also referred to as military or military technology, one understands various engineering , the military development and use of technology from the civil sector (eg. Flight - and tracked vehicles ) or special developments, particularly of weapons , has to content. The processes involved in the development and production of military and armaments equipment are also designated.

Many civilly used technologies come from military technology (e.g. radar and GPS ).

Some German companies avoid the military-sounding terms for image reasons and refer to the corresponding branches of their operations as special technology .

The arms industry is the main developer and producer of military technology.
