Poëzat is located in the Bourbonnais landscape about 20 kilometers west-southwest of Vichy . Poëzat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gannat in the north and north-west, Charmes in the east and north-east and Saint-Genès-du-Retz in the south and west.
