Chirat-l'Église is a central French town and municipality ( commune ) with 128 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Allier department in the north of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Gannat (until 2015 Ébreuil ).

Chirat-l'Église is located in the Bourbonnais landscape about thirty kilometers west-northwest of Vichy . Chirat-l'Église is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Target in the north and north-east, Monestier in the east, Bellenaves in the south and south-east, Coutansouze in the south, Louroux-de-Bouble in the west and south-west and Vernusse in the west and north-west.
