Saint-Yorre is a French commune with 2,931 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Vichy-2 (until March 2015: canton of Cusset-Sud ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Yorrais .

geography

Saint-Yorre is about eight kilometers south of Vichy on the Allier River . Saint-Yorre is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Abrest in the north, Busset in the east, Mariol in the south and southeast, Saint-Priest-Bramefant in the south and southwest, Saint-Sylvestre-Pragoulin in the west and Hauterive in the northwest.

The former route nationale 106 (today's D906) runs through the municipality .
