La Chapelle is a French commune with a population of 370 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and is part of the canton of Lapalisse (until 2015: canton of Cusset-Sud ).

La Chapelle is about eleven kilometers east-southeast of Vichy . La Chapelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Molles in the north, Nizerolles in the east, Le Mayet-de-Montagne in the southeast, Arronnes in the south and Busset in the west.
