Vicq is a central French town and municipality ( commune ) with 331 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Allier department in the north of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vichy and the canton of Gannat (until 2015 Ébreuil ).

Vicq is located in the Bourbonnais landscape about 43 kilometers west-northwest of Vichy . Vicq is surrounded by the neighboring communities Valignat in the north and northwest, Naves in the north and northeast, Saint-Bonnet-de-Rochefort in the east, Ébreuil in the south and southwest and Sussat in the west.
