Bresnay is a French municipality with 383 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the canton of Souvigny and the Arrondissement of Moulins .

geography

Bresnay is located in the north of the Auvergne in the historic Bourbonnais province , about 14 kilometers south-southwest of the city center of Moulins . Bresnay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Besson in the north, Chemilly in the northeast, Châtel-de-Neuvre in the east and southeast, Meillard in the south, Treban in the southwest and Cressanges in the west.
