geography

The community is about ten kilometers south of Moulins . Neighboring municipalities are Bresnay and Besson in the west, Bressolles in the north, Toulon-sur-Allier and Bessay-sur-Allier in the east and La Ferté-Hauterive and Châtel-de-Neuvre in the south.

To the east of the municipality, the Allier flows north.
