Limoise is a French municipality with 188 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Allier in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Moulins and the canton of Bourbon-l'Archambault (until 2015 Lurcy-Lévis ).

Limoise is about 15 miles northwest of Moulins . Limoise is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Veurdre in the north, Saint-Léopardin-d'Augy in the east, Franchesse in the south and south-west and Pouzy-Mésangy in the west and north-west.
