Villedieu-les-Poêles is a village and a former French commune with 3,562 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Manche department in the Normandy region . It belonged to the arrondissement of Saint-Lô and the canton of Villedieu-les-Poêles . The inhabitants of Villedieu are called Les Sourdins or Les Théopolitains .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Villedieu-les-Poêles and Rouffigny were merged into a Commune nouvelle with the name Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Villedieu-les-Poêles.
