The N189 was a French national road established in 1824 between Paris and Sèvres via the Porte de Versailles. Their length was 6 kilometers. In 1978, the N187 took over the part between Sèvres and the N189 A . In 1993 the N189 was downgraded. In 1991 the number was reassigned for a bypass around Beaumont and Ceyrat, where the main road N89 continued through the towns. This was downgraded in 2006.
