The N207 was a French national road that was laid in two parts in 1867 between the N100 south-east of Reillanne and the N205 at the Pont de la Mescla in the Var valley. Their total length was 145 kilometers. In 1920 it gave the section between the N210 and N205 to the newly established N202, which from then on formed the Route des Alpes. This reduced the length to 105 kilometers. In 1973 it was downgraded to the section between Barrême and the former N210. This section became part of the N202 in 1978. In the same year, the N564 A was renumbered as N207 to become a side branch of the N7. This has been graduated since 2006.
