Attractions

Around 1720 the Fulque family built a castle in the Renaissance style. In 1772 it was destroyed during the French Revolution and rebuilt with an additional floor. Louis Pasteur stayed here for some time.

The Canal d'Oraison , which feeds a hydroelectric power station and uses the water of the Durance , is also known. It was created between 1959 and 1962.
Personalities
Jean Marc Gaspard Itard (born April 24, 1774, † July 5, 1838 in Paris), a French doctor and teacher of the deaf and dumb, was born in Oraison .
