Quinson is the southernmost municipality in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. The neighboring municipalities are Esparron-de-Verdon in the north, Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon and Régusse in the east, Montmeyan in the south-east, La Verdière in the south-west and Saint-Julien in the west.
