Bevons is a French municipality with 240 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Forcalquier and the Canton of Sisteron . The residents call themselves the Bevonnais .
geography
In the south the river Jabron runs on the border to Valbelle and in the south-west it also crosses the district of Bevons. The other neighboring communities are Noyers-sur-Jabron in the west, Ribiers in the north and Sisteron in the east.
