geography
Le Caire is located around 20 kilometers south of Gap in the valley of the Grand Vallon mountain river , which drains over the Sasse to the Durance . Neighboring communities are:
- Faucon-du-Caire in the northeast,
- Clamensane in the southeast,
- La Motte-du-Caire in the southwest and
- Curbans to the northwest.
