Barrême is a French municipality with 432 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It is the main town (chief lieu) of the canton of the same name in the arrondissement of Castellane . The residents call themselves Barrémois .

The neighboring parishes are Saint-Jacques and Saint-Lions in the north, Moriez in the east, Senez and Blieux in the south and Senez ( enclave ) and Chaudon-Norante in the west.
