Blieux is a French municipality with 60 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the canton of Riez and the arrondissement of Castellane . The residents call themselves the Blieuxiens .

geography

The community is located in the French Maritime Alps . The neighboring municipalities are Senez ( enclave ) in the northwest, Barrême in the north, Senez in the northeast, Castellane in the east, Rougon in the south, La Palud-sur-Verdon in the southwest and Majastres in the west. The village is located at 950  m in the valley of the Asse de Blieux , a tributary of the Asse . The hamlets of Le Bas-Chiaudoul, La Tuilière, Thon and La Castelle also belong to the municipality.
