Majastres is a french commune with four inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur . It belongs to the arrondissement of Digne-les-Bains and the canton of Riez . The residents call themselves Malejactois .

geography

The center of the village is located at 1143  m in the center of the Massif du Montdenier in the French Maritime Alps . The neighboring municipalities are Senez ( enclave ) in the north, Blieux in the east, La Palud-sur-Verdon in the south, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the south-west, Saint-Jurs in the west and Estoublon in the north-west.
