Draix is a French municipality with 115 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in the region Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur .

The municipality is part of the Communauté de communes de Haute-Bléone . Neighboring towns are Archail , Le Brusquet and Marcoux . The closest larger town in the area is called Digne-les-Bains , which is about 13 kilometers southwest of Draix. It lies at an altitude of 900 m.
geology
The area consists of a black to dark gray rock landscape with calcareous rock. The commune has a panoramic view of the Montagne du Cheval Blanc mountains .
