Janville is a village and a former French commune with 1,835 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Eure-et-Loir in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Chartres and the Canton of Voves (until 2015: Canton Janville ).

With effect from January 1, 2019, the formerly independent municipalities of Janville , Allaines-Mervilliers and Le Puiset were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Janville-en-Beauce and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Janville.

Janville is 33 kilometers north of Orléans . Janville is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Le Puiset in the north and north-west, Oinville-Saint-Liphard in the north and north-east, Toury in the east, Poinville in the south and Allaines-Mervilliers in the west.
