Jesse Frederick

Jesse Frederick-Conaway (* 1948 in Salisbury , Maryland ) is an American television and film composer . So far in his career he has received the ASCAP Award ten times.

Life

Jesse Frederick James Conaway grew up in Seaford, Delaware. His brother Everett Thomas, four years his senior, died of cystic fibrosis at the age of 12 . In 1966, Frederick graduated from Seaford High School and went to Shenandoah College and the Conservatory of Music. He composed pieces of music and signed a contract with Albert Grossman Bearsville Records in 1971 at the age of 23. His debut album, recorded in Nashville and mixed in part by Todd Rundgren, was released that year. In 1973 Bearsville released a Promo 45 with stereo and mono versions of the first single from Frederick's second album. The single was titled "I Belong to You" . With producer Jeff Koz, with whom he had worked on several film and video projects, Frederick formed the band The Kinetics and released the single "Don't Stand In The Shadow" on Columbia Records .

In the late 1970s, Frederick focused on film and television music. In 1980 he composed the musical passages of the main characters for the Taylor Hackford film " The Idolmaker" . His soundtrack for "Here Is My Love" has been released in stereo and mono formats. In 1982 he composed for the Troma film The Fanatic (aka The Last Horror Film ). Many more compositions and sounds followed.
